Widow of Australian Gang Boss John Macris Faces Accused Killers

Viktoria Karida, widow of murdered Sydney gangland figure John Macris, confronted in a Greek court on Wednesday the two men who have allegedly killed her husband.

In October 2018, a man shot Macris to death outside his villa in the Athens seaside suburb of Voula. Another man drove the getaway car.

The execution-style murder created an uproar in Greece, as the murder was recorded on CCTV. Also, Karida, 33, the wife of the victim was a well-known former Playboy model and reality television star.

Bulgarian national Yuliyanov J Raychev Serafim, 31, has been charged with first-degree murder. His brother Milen Raychev is the accomplice, accused of stalking Macris and driving the getaway car.

Both brothers have denied the charges, while Greek police believe that the two Bulgarians are professional hitmen.  however, saying if they were professional hitmen as police claim, they wouldn’t have used their own passports to check into the Athens hotel.

Karida broke down in tears and had to leave the room when she faced the two Bulgarian men. She later told reporters that she could not stand listening to the two men saying they were innocent after they killed her husband and deprived her of two children of their father.
