Greek tennis phenomenon Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut, securing a position in the Australian Open semifinals, in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Greek player fought like a champion through all four sets, scoring 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2).
Tsitsipas continued his phenomenal performances at the Australian Open, which included becoming the first player from the nation of Greece to reach the quarterfinals of a major tennis tournament. He then went on to eliminate Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer from the tournament in a stunning upset.
The young Greek star is expected to face the winner of the Rafael Nadal — Frances Tiafoe match on Thursday, January 24.
