Greece Loses to Britain 1-2 at Hopman Cup in Perth

Greece’s top tennis stars Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari lost to Britain’s Cameron Norrie and Katie Boulter 1-2 in the opening match of the eight-team Hopman Cup tennis tournament in Perth on Saturday.

The score for Britain went 4-3, 3-4, 4-3, including 5-4 in a tiebreaker in the deciding mixed doubles set in the Fast 4 format.

On New Year’s Eve, Tsitsipas and Sakkari will play against the United States team represented by Frances Tiafoe and Serena Williams.

The Greek duo’s third game is scheduled for January 3, against the Swiss team of Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic.
