The Lonsdale Street Greek Festival and the Greek Festival of Sydney have announced that one of Greece’s most popular singing sensations – Eleonora Zouganeli – will be headlining the biggest Greek festivals of 2019.
It will be her first-ever Australian visit. Organizers say that her contemporary and traditional songs as well as her versatile singing style will cater to audiences young and old.
Zouganeli has performed alongside many great Greek artists including Giorgos Dalaras, Dimitris Mitropanos, Michalis Hatzigiannis, Filippos Pliatsikas and Lavrendis Mahairitsas.
Lonsdale Street Greek Festival Chairs, Tammy Iliou and Leonidas Vlahakis said “We are very excited to confirm Ms Zouganeli as our marquee act for our 2019 event. She is a worthy inclusion to the long line of stellar performers that have played on the corner of Russell & Lonsdale over the years.”
Greek Festival of Sydney Chair Nia Karteris said “Zouganeli is an exciting addition to our event and we’re anticipating audiences will be just as pleased with her inclusion as we are. We can’t wait to welcome her to Australia”.
“I am looking forward to performing in Australia and in particular at the Antipodes Festival and the Greek Festival of Sydney” said Zouganeli from Athens.
