Greek-Language Play Enthralls Sydney Audience

A Greek-language play in Sydney has brought the house down on its opening night, leading to a standing ovation for its actors.

‘Ti Tha Parete Parakalo?’ (What Would You Like to Order?) by the Greek Stage Theatre had Sydney Greeks enthralled, according to GreekAus.com.

The comedy was stagedĀ at Lakemba Senior Citizens’ Centre and had the audience laughing for two hours, recalling the great success of Greek cinema.

The main character, Zikos, was played with great success by Thodoris Stoumpos. The rest of the cast was equally good asĀ Eleni Pleioni, Giorgos Andronis, Sandy Reke, Stratos Poniros, Faiyakia, Olga Stoumpou, Margarita Liagou, Akis Kastelloriou, Christos Georgiou, Argyro Zarkou, Giorgos Tsoularis, Dimitris Alexakis, Eleni Karapanagou, Stergios Kastelloriou and Natassa Kastelloriou performed splendidly.

Director Akis Kastelloriou explained to the audience the great effort put in by all actors to present such a delightful performance.

The new Greek Consul in Sydney, Christos Karras, accompanied by his wife and Trade Commissioner in Sydney, Australia, Katia Gkikiza, were among the audience and spoke warmly about the performance.
