The festival started back in 1988 and since has become one of the highlights of the Sydney art scene.
In a press release, Nia Karteris, the chairwoman of the festival said “We are extremely proud to present to our audiences the most exciting films and filmmakers from storytellers of Greek heritage. This year’s program is a rich tapestry of themes, perspectives and great stories to delight, excite, inform and ultimately entertain our Festival audiences. We’re also particularly thrilled about David Tsirekas from newly opened Greek restaurant 1821, agreeing to cater our opening night.”
