thikiNadia Synetou studied Communications Design, focusing on Graphic Design at Pratt Institute in New York. After graduating she returned to Greece and found herself in a difficult situation since the country’s economy was deteriorating fast. The crisis had especially affected the graphic design and advertising sector where she was planning to work.

However, the young graphic designer did not give up and made efforts with an idea that would help her support herself. That’s when it came to her. Crisis or no crisis, iPhones are still high in demand. So she asked herself “what does every iPhone user need to accessorize their gadget?” A case.

Her idea became reality when she created her company, called Thiki. At first she only sold iPhone cases with designs inspired by Greece. However, as the company became more popular she added new items to her collection, which now includes, cases, coasters, mugs, pillows, bags, beach towels and T-shirts.
