Greek Comedian Angelo Tsarouchas Live at the Greek Centre

angelo-headshot-20111Greek-Canadian comedian Angelo Tsarouchas will be returning to Melbourne for his debut performance at the Greek Center of Contemporary Culture. The Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne will welcome Tsarouchas on Friday May 8 and Saturday May 9, 2015.

Angelo Tsarouchas is a Canadian comedian and actor whose parents are originally from Greece. A large element of his stand-up comedy revolves around the parody of his Greek origins. Tsarouchas’ TV credits include Mad Men, Sullivan & Son and Blue Mountain State, his live work has seen him star in Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show and the famous Montreal Comedy Festival.

Moreover, he has participated in many films such as The Score, Johny Q, The Recruit, The Prince and Me, Harold and Kumar Go to the White Castle, and Cinderella Man. In addition he has attended larger Comedy Festivals such as: UK Paramount Comedy Festival, South African Comedy Festival, and Montreal’s Just for Laughs. He also appeared as a special guest in Russell Peters’ World Tour, Just for Laugh’s Ethnic Heroes of Comedy Tour.

Tsarouchas received the Best Actor Award at the London Greek Film Festival, for his role as agoraphobic Vinnie De Angelo, in the Steve Skrovan film “Fred and Vinnie,” a role which also earned him a Best Actor nomination from the Canadian Comedy Awards.
