Greeks of Australia prosper in all walks of economic life. Consolidated Travel is a travel agency led by Greek Australian Spyros Alysandratos. It was recently included within the top 500 private Australian businesses, according to a list published by the magazine The Deal of the newspaper The Australian.
Last year Alysandratos’ company collected more than one billion dollars in revenue for the first time in its history, ranking 36th on The Deal’s list. This year, its revenues have already surged by upwards of 8.3%.
Based in Melbourne, Consolidated Travel is considered the second largest travel agency in Australia and among the 100 best travel agencies in the world, ranking 46th on a recent worldwide poll.
Joined by his parents and siblings, Spyros Alysandratos left the Greek island of Cephalonia in search of more prosperous opportunities abroad. He came to Melbourne, working first as a Greek wedding photographer before moving on to the travel industry.

Paspaley Pearls, from the Northern Territory (332nd)
Raptis & Sons in Queensland, a fishing conglomerate (400th)
Benetas, a care-service provider based out of Victoria (428th)
Poulos Bros, a food industry in New South Wales (440th)
MG Kailis, another food industry, in Western Australia (467th)
