Young Professionals Network Launching Operation

HACCIThe newly created Young Professionals Network by the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce (HACCI) that will be launched in September aims to bring together young Greek Australian businessmen.

HACCI aims to host a number of events and engage the younger Greek community with the wider Greek Australian workforce.

“We’re aiming to create a professional network that will allow young Hellenic Australians to connect on common issues and goals, boost their professional contacts, and give something back to their community,” said Ashley NasiakosHYPN convenor, adding that this type of professional network was missing from the Greek Australian community.

Members of the HYPN will be able to have access to HACCI’s events, and the mentor and internship programs. The opening ceremony will be held on August 13 and will include a speech by Greek Australian entrepreneur and author of Adventures of Balloon Girl, Despina Karatzias who runs Global Ballooning in the region of Yarra Valley.

Karatzias said when she was starting her career, she realized the importance of a strong professional network. She also said that HYPN will help many Greek Australian professionals to start a business or to expand an already existing one.

The opening event will take place at Kri Kri Mezethopolion, 39-41 Little Bourke St, Melbourne at 6.00 pm. Admission is free, and food, wine and soft drinks will be provided.
