Bouzanis Joins Western Sydney Wanderers

Greek Australian Dean Bouzanis returns to Australia with a two-year deal signed to Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 23-year old goalkeeper started his career in the club Sydney Olympic until he joined Liverpool in 2007. He has also played for Carlisle United for the last seven years, the Greek Club Aris, Accrington Stanley and Oldham Athletic.

The Greek Australian has a strong connection with his Greek origins and was proud to be representing Greece. He is also well-known in Greece playing for U19 and also representing Australia for the AFC U17 Championships.

Bouzanis has now joined the A-League club and says: “I’m excited to join the Wanderers because they have an amazing fan base.They are the best fans in the A-League and the recent success they’ve had at the football club is massive.”

He can’t wait to play for the Wanderers and hopes to get them a title.

“The Wanderers are a club where you can win trophies as well as progress and develop as a player,” the Greek Australian said.

He then concluded: “To work with such an experienced goalkeeper in Ante Covic, who has played many matches and has been there and done that, is something I’m looking forward to.”
