“Gods of Egypt”: new film by Greek-Australian Director Alex Proyas

“Gods of Egypt” is the title of the next Hollywood movie that will be filmed by Greek-Australian director, Alex Proyas.

Shooting will take place in New South Wales in Australia and will boost the State’s local economy by 75 million dollars. The filming will also create 400 new jobs.

Production will cost 100 million dollars. Famous actors such as Gerard Butler, Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau and Brenton Thwaites will star in the film.

The Greek-Australian director is known for the films “The Crow”, “I-Robot”, “Knowing” and “Dark City.”

Alex Proyas has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, like Will Smith and Nicholas Cage. Born to Greek parents in Egypt in 1963, Proyas relocated to Australia with his family when he was three years old.
