In January 2014, the theatrical performance “Metanastopoula” will return to Australia. It is about a very successful theatrical performance which toured most of the country and the tickets have already been snapped up.
The cast consists of Nick Giannopoulos, Alex Dimitriadis, Italian actor Vince Colosimo and three Australian actors. The initiator of the project is Giannopoulos. When he finished drama school, he found that Australian theater, cinema or television was not suitable for him.
He grew up in Melbourne and Australians used to call not only him, but also other immigrants, a “wog,” which is a derogatory nickname. So he decided to write a play, the comedy “Metanastopoula.”
Giannopoulos chose immigrant actors for the performance who managed to become the most popular faces in Australia, and it is directed by Greek-Australian Peter Andrikidis.
