This week, the 2013 Australian University Awards for Teaching went to Sophie Karanicolas for her teaching excellence. She is a Senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide since 2004. She was also congratulated by the Senator Scott Ryan and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Education.
Mrs Karanicolas and her colleague Catherine Snelling have developed an interesting teaching partnership. They focus especially on interactive online learning modules. They have also already received a great number of awards by the local and national educational communities.
During the ceremony the Senator Scott Ryan said: “Maintaining quality in tertiary education is our No 1 priority and with these exceptional teachers and programs we will continue to expand our international education reputation.”
