Germans Want to Adopt the Greek “know how”

The Ambassador of Germany in Melbourne has a series of meetings with the President of the Greek Community in Melbourne, Bassilis Papastergiadis. His purpose is to transfer the Greek “know how” to the German Community of Australia, in order to organize for economic stability.

“We came here with only a suitcase, and we achieved a lot, contributing to the multicultural character of Australia. We overcame the obstacles and now have a Greek tower in the city center, which with the Greek Culture Center will be a point of reference,” said Bassilis Papastergiadis, the president of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria. The Cultural Center will include 4 floors of housing, while the others will be available to rent in order to cover its costs. The cost is estimated at 14$ millions.

The Greek community offers lessons of ancient and modern Greek language for adults. Also, for three years they have seminars for the Greek History and Civilization.
