On the initiative of the State Senator, David Clarke, the Parliament of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, adopted a congratulatory resolution towards the new presidium of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) of New South Wales and New Zealand.
In the resolution it was pointed out that AHEPA is the biggest charitable organization of Greeks in the world aiming at promoting language, civilization and ideals of Hellenism for the sake of Hellenism in Australia.
AHEPA donates great amounts of money for various purposes, focusing on medical research, education, elderly and indigent care.
Through the resolution, the State Senate congratulated AHEPA’s new presidium, State President, Kallimanis, and the Regional President, Mpouri, in particular, and AHEPA as a whole, for its work to the Greek community and the Australian community in general.
