Miracle Baby Connor’s Parents Fundraisers

anastasopoulosPeople call him the miracle baby. This is the 16-month Greek Connor Anastasopoulos who is considered really lucky to be alive.

He was born five weeks prematurely, on October 24, 2011, and contracted meningitis a few days later. All his vital organs were affected and when he was just nine-days-old, he suffered a heart attack.

The doctors told his parents, Steve and Kathy, that their baby would die in two hours. However, they decided for their child to be put on life support and live as long as possible.

Doctors told the parents that little Connor would live for 14 days. However, with the contribution of scientists from Sweden, the child survived. He lived the first four months of his life at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne.

His parents, in recognition of the miracle performed by the doctors, have raised $10,000 to boost the Royal Children’s Hospital annual fundraiser, being held these days.

Connor is still receiving treatment, but doctors say his health is improving really well.
