A 45-year-old Greek Australian, Michael Loizos, has declared he is innocent of charges in a $3 million fraud case and claimed he is being wrongly prosecuted by the Crime Prosecution Service of New Zealand.
Loizos claims that police has no evidence against him although he’s facing 31 charges of embezzling the money. Police said that Loizos pretended to be a businessman to victims.
When he was accused, Loizos fled to New Zealand and then was later apprehended along the Gold Coast of Australia.
