Greek Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Theodoros Karaoglou in November will visit Melbourne, as part of the Thessaloniki Liberation centennial celebrations. An old-time photos exhibition will be presented by the Hellenic Cultural Council Union, the Pontian Community of Melbourne and the Association of Thessalonians The White Tower .
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Nov. 24 during Karaoglou’s visit in response of an official invitation made by the three Greek associations. It will be held in the auditorium of the Town Hall Melbourne.
Karaoglou, after getting in touch with the President of the Pan Macedonian Association of Melbourne and Australia Dimitri Minas, arranged to come earlier so he could make the Nov. 18 Macedonia festival in Okli.
According to PanMacedonian’s statement, Mr. Karaoglou will also attend other meetings that are to be held,as well as the festive reception on the occasion of 100 years anniversary since Macedonia’s Liberation.The event will be hosted by PanMacedonia which invites both leaders of the Greek and Macedonian Associations of Melbourne,in its house.
