Kapalos Will Pedal in The Ride to Conquer Cancer

The famous Australian television news presenter, Helen Kapalos will use her popularity for a good cause. In memory of her mother who died of cancer at the age of 54, she is going to participate in The Ride To Conquer Cancer, which will be held on October 27 to 28.

She will cover 200 kilometers riding from Melbourne to Healesville and back again to raise money and awareness to support life-saving cancer research and education at Peter Macallum Cancer Center, Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer. The center is a national leader in multidisciplinary cancer care as well as a national and international leader in laboratory, clinical and translational research.

The Ride brings together communities of riders, survivors and their supporters for one common goal: to conquer cancer. This challenging ride is open to anyone, but each entrant must raise $2,500 before they can compete.
