The Pancretan Association of Melbourne Holds Lecture on Knossos

Within the framework of the Antipodes Festival and under the auspices of the General Consulate of Greece to Melbourne, the Pancretan Association of Melbourne organized a lecture entitled “Knossos: Past, Present and Future” on March 24th.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Don Evely at the Cretan Village of Melbourne. More than 150 people attended the event, which took place one day before the celebrations for the National Independence Day of Greece.

Dr. Evely is a distinguished archaeologist and researcher of the Minoan civilization with several years of experience in the field. He is the Curator for Knossos at the British School at Athens.

On his part, the President of the Association, Antonis Tsourdalakis, welcomed the people attending the event and referred to the different events organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary from the foundation of the Association. He also thanked Dr. Evely for his remarkable presentation of Knossos.
