The festival Odyssey is going to present a series of exciting and entertaining events, starting 5th October until 22nd of October.
Most of the events will be held in Olympic Hall. There will exhibitions, lectures, and cultural events. Olympic Hall will become a centre of educational, social, musical, and cookery-related activities for the whole family.
Adelaide’s annual Hellenic Cultural Festival ODYSSEY enters its sixth year.
Among the lectures are:”Timaeus, Plato, Cosmogony and the foundation of the Western Culture” belongs to Professor Michael Tsianikas. Moreover, Professor George Kanarakis will give a lecture titled: “An early page in the history of the Greek Press and Publishing in Australia”, while a book will be launched named ” Our Journey at a glance 1930-2010″, referring to the history of the Hellenism in South Australia.
Festival Odyssey also includes theatre, music, dancing events, and a Greek Film Festival. The events will come to an end with the concert of Greek violist Nickie Vassilaki in collaboration with the Elder Conservatorium.
