Australian Hellenic Competition Aims at Education

 Once again, the Australian Hellenic student competition is orgasnized by the Memorial Foundation in cooperation with Dr. Charalampos Ladopoulos. This is its second year of running.

This competition aims to educate the young students and inform them about what position both nations held during the World Wars.

Children aged 10 to 12 will have the chance to win a first prize of $400. It is anticipated that the participation will be huge, while last year more than 600 students took part.

Students have to explore history and events that happened during the above mentioned period. More than 17.000 Australians served in the Greek campaign in WWII and more than 5000 were killed, captured or imprisoned.

All students are allowed to participate in this competition!

Winners will be announced on Friday 28 Octomber at 11:30 am.
