Greeks of Melbourne will celebrate Greek Independence Day on the 27th of March, at the War Memorial of the city. General Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Kostas Nikolopoulos announced that this year’s celebration will be attended by the national and religious heads of the Greek community and by representatives of the Greek Parliament. He added that the Greeks of Melbourne have kept the tradition of the celebration and he thanked those who contributed to this. Mr. Nikolopoulos asked participants in the parade to respect, as always, the holiness of the place and to follow the directions of the Committee. The parade will last from 12:00 until 13:00.
