Every two years in Australia the Pan-Hellenic Athletic Games of Oceania occur. This year the event will take place in Darwin, Australia from the 29th of September until the 2nd of October 2011. The management of the event is in the hands of the Greek Orthodox Community of North Australia in cooperation with other Greek unions of Darwin, among them are the Kalymnian Brotherhood, the Cypriot Community, the Macedonian Club, Darwin’s Youth and other athletic associations. The president of the Central Management Committee of the Pan-Hellenic Athletic Games of Oceania, Mr. Ioannis Nikolakis, said that the games are supported by the whole community of Darwin and called all Greek youth to take part in this big athletic event which will lift the Hellenic spirit even higher.
