Whether you like it or not a considerable portion of the australian population today is of Greek descent, especially in Melbourne. People that have proven their skills and abilities by becoming one of the most succesfull comunities in Austalia by working hard and staying of unemployment benefits unlike so many others .....
And to answer to your idiotic remarks Simply Greeks from Greece today could easily compete in the australian market or nay other market given the fact that at least 1/3 of the university graduates in Greece hold diplomas and post graduates not only by Greek Universities but by UK, French and German Universities as well. I myself am an Greek Australian that live in Athens and hold (like most proffesional greeks) two degrees by foreing Univerisites (UK). In any case its good to know that morons like to post their idiotic remark posing as Greeks. Not your cousin mate

Latin historian Curtius Rufius records the following quote of Alexander - Look it up and research your history Slav

If it were not my purpose to combine barbarian things with things Hellenic, to traverse and civilize every continent, to search out the uttermost parts of land and sea, to push the bounds of Macedonia to the farthest Ocean, and to disseminate and shower the blessings of the Hellenic justice and peace over every nation, I should not be content to sit quietly in the luxury of idle power, but I should emulate the frugality of Diogenes. But as things are, forgive me Diogenes, that I imitate Herakles, and emulate Perseus, and follow in the footsteps of Dionysos, the divine author and progenitor of my family, and desire that victorious Hellenes should dance again in India and revive the memory of the Bacchic revels among the savage mountain tribes beyond the Kaukasos…

ISBN 978-0-520-21029-5. "On the other hand, the Macedonians are a newly emergent people in search of a past to help legitimize their precarious present as they attempt to establish their singular identity in a Slavic world dominated historically by Serbs and Bulgarians. ... The twentieth-century development of a Macedonian ethnicity, and its recent evolution into independent statehood following the collapse of the Yugoslav state in 1991, has followed a rocky road.
I totally disagree with the Australian Government! I dont want to be known as a Macedonian as they where and are the Hellenes of todays Greece. I am proud of being a Slav and do not appreciate the Australian Government placing me in the the kettle of fish with the Greek Macedonians. Slav- fyromian will do just Dobro, or Slav-macedonian if you must!
