Greek-Speaking Caregivers Sought in Australia

Greek caregivers are being offered the chance to work in Australia to tend to the needs of elderly Greek-Australians.

According to a report in Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Fronditha Care has teamed up with the Australian government is seeking Greek-speakers to help look after first-generation Greek immigrants who never mastered English.

The shortfall in Greek-speaking caregivers has opened up the opportunity for qualified staff from Greece to make the move Down Under.

According to the deal, successful applications will be able to live and work in Australia with the option of permanent residency after four years’ service at one of Fronditha Care’s five facilities or homecare program.
