Greek Australian Kokkinakis Dethrones Federer at Miami Open

Greek Australian tennis player Thanasis Kokkinakis on Saturday beat tennis giant Roger Federer at the Miami Open, bringing him down to second place in the world ranking.

It was a tremendous success for Kokkinakis who managed to prevail over Federer in the second round of the Miami Open with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4) overturn.

After the defeat from the Greek Australian tennis player, Federer dropped to No. 2 in the world ranking and lost the chance to defend his title in Miami.

Kokkinakis, ranking in 175th place in the world, became the first tennis player with the lowest rank to beat the world’s No. 1 player in the last 15 years.
