Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is to visit Greece and Israel on a five-day medical and technology research tour, a Herald Sun report says.
While on tour, Andrews will meet with President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos, and Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras.
He will be investigating medical research and autonomous technology.
“Victoria’s Greek community is large and dynamic and has had major influence shaping our state. It is a great honour to visit and pay homage to the place from where so many Victorians take their cultural heritage,” the Victorian Premier told the Herald Sun.
He also said that Victoria has strong ties with Greece, with more than 110,000 Victorians speaking Greek in their homes.
