The Greek Diaspora of Australia have announced that they plan to send a letter of objection to the Greek government regarding the taxation of their parental properties in Greece.
According to the Greek-Australian newspaper Neos Kosmos, the Federation of Greek Orthodox Communities in Australia had a meeting of its members in Melbourne resulting in Greek-Australian‘s asking Greece’s government to not tax parental houses in Greece under new laws.
News Kosmos further clarified that Harris Danalis, the president of the federation said that the request concerns only parental properties of the Greek-Australians, not other assets that may be held.
