Fall in Love at This Year’s ‘Greek Fest’ at Darling Harbour

Greek FestThe Greek Orthodox Community of New South Wales takes over Darling Harbour on the weekend of February 14-15 to celebrate the Greek Festival of Sydney. The two-day long event will launch the 33rd cultural and events program in the liveliest way possible with traditional Greek dancing, local and international musicians and brand new stalls. It is an opportunity to experience Greece and all its delights in your very own city.

The Greeks are well-versed on the topic of love so it’s no coincidence that this year’s festival falls on Valentine’s Day. The already buzzing atmosphere will be amplified considerably by the warm feeling of love veiling the air. Bring your agapi (love) down to Darling Harbour, share a souvlaki and settle in for an unforgettable date.

Like every year, there will be a quality line-up of live entertainment including headlining act, much-loved Greek musician, Dimitris Basis, who will be joined on stage by Zoi Papadopoulou and backed by a 7-piece band.

Indubitably one of the most prominent multicultural events in Sydney, and a must do in the events calendar, Greek Fest Darling Harbour will give Sydney residents a taste of Greece as the foreshore of Darling Harbour comes alive. This year’s program is new and exciting, sure to showcase the richest display of Greek culture in Australia. Entry is free of charge.

Linked to the Darling Harbour celebration is the nine-week-long Greek Festival of Sydney, with over 25 events scheduled in this year’s quality program line-up.
