Greek-Australian Beats Weight Loss Record

jordan-tirekidisGreek-Australian Jordan Tirekidis broke Australia’s weight loss record by losing 204 kg in a year, through the method of sleep hypnosis. His story was broadcasted on yesterday’s episode of “A Current Affair” on Channel 9.

Just two years ago, Jordan weighed just over 300 kilos. His life was a nightmare. He had to wear custom made clothes, drive a custom made car. He couldn’t remember the last time he went to the beach or had a night out at a restaurant.

The 47-year-old man started putting on weight when he took over the family business and due to lack of time started eating unhealthy fast food. However, he believes that his first tendency towards obesity started long before, at the age of 9, when he had his tonsils taken out and as a result started eating unhealthy treats.

His life changed when he met with hypnotherapist and motivational speaker Mark Stephens who believes that “hypnosis is the only way to convince the mind to change habits and make you want to eat right and exercise.” The two men started working together in order to help Jordan change his lifestyle. He started eating healthy and exercising on a daily basis.

“I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I knew I had to do something to reclaim my life,” said Tirekidis. Slowly but steadily he started losing weight, until he broke Australia’s weight loss record by losing 204 kg.

Tirekidis currently weighs 107 kg and he is planning on putting on 20 kg of muscle in order to deal with excess skin, while he has already undergone one body sculpting operation.
