Greece and Australia to Sign Work and Holiday Visa

The work and holiday visa arrangement between Greece and Australia will be signed on Wednesday, May 14. The visa will be available to young people aged 18 to 30 years old, who want to travel and work in Australia for up to 12 months.

Olga Kefalogianni, Greek Minister of Tourism, will sign the agreement during her visit to Melbourne next Monday. The Australian side will be represented by the Australian Minister for Immigration, Scott Morrison.

During her stay in Melbourne, Mrs Kefalogianni will also meet representatives of the biggest tourist agencies and will visit the Victoria Parliament to meet the Speaker of the Parliament and the Senate as well as the politicians of the diaspora.

The Greek Minister of Tourism will also meet the Greek Community Bureau and the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) Bureau. Finally, she will visit the Greek Museum in Melbourne, where she is expected to meet Victoria’s Premier, Denis Napthine.
