Upcoming Greek Education Seminars in Australia

Aspasia Hatzidaki, a linguist professor, and Ioannis Spantidakis, a pedagogy professor of the University of Crete will be visiting Australia on a mission to teach and organize seminars for Greek language education teachers in Australia.

The two academics will give four lectures — one in Adelaide, two in Melbourne and another one in Sydney. The main topics of their lectures will be the intercultural primary and secondary Greek education in the diaspora, indicative seminars on the exploitation of the environment for teaching the Greek language and the operation of a learning and teaching platform which is expected to be freely accessible to every teacher and student of the Greek education in Diaspora.

Scientific advisers of the Expatriate Education in Australia and especially Professor Michael Tsianikas, Professor A. M. Tamis and Dr. Antonis Drakopoulos are responsible for organizing the event.

Mr. Vassilis Gkokas, an education adviser in Australia, will also participate in the event. The visiting professors will participate in professor Tsianikas’ lecture which will take place at Flinders University, on Saturday, February 8.
