Head of the New South Wales team, Harry Danalis, achieved the ultimate victory in the elections of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW. Both sides are satisfied with the so far developments and have underlined that they have been receiving supportive messages from the Greek Diaspora on the restoration of their relations after a 50 year-long split. The reunification is the main purpose of the new administration.
The main faction of Mr Danalis elected 20 candidates.
According to sources, the new Council is scheduled to meet today in order to determine the leadership, although it is unlikely that it will change. Therefore, Mr Danalis will be in president, Mrs. Ourania Karteri in the seat of vice president, Mr. Michalis Tsilimos as Secretariat and Mr Christos Belerchas in the position of treasurer.
