Australia Helps Greek Charities

The Smile of the Child and Hatzikyriakio Child Care Institution in Athens are two of the charitable institutions that will receive Australia’s donations.

The Ambassador of Australia in Greece, Jennifer Polyxeni Bloomfield, along with representatives of the Hellenic Women of Sydney, visited these two institutions in the framework of providing financial support to Greek charitable institutions for women and children.

After the visits were completed, the Ambassador congratulated the President and the members of the association for their initiative and pointed out to them that “at these difficult times, the collective effort and the selfless offer towards our fellowmen is an urgent need now more than ever.”

“The government and the people of Australia understand the difficult conditions that many Greeks are experiencing. At these difficult moments, Australia and Greeks of Australia support Greece practically and systematically,” Ambassador Bloomfield added.
