Rise in Greek Real Estate and Senior Tourism

1363_news-ltd-telegraph-australian-b-110714-sbsThe Australian media estimate an expected rise in the real estate sector in Greece soon, with  the new law voted by the Greek parliament, which allows the granting of residence permit to non-EU investors, who are interested in buying or renting  property worth over 250,000 euros, with a five year term and renewal possibility.

Relative reports refer this initiative actually aims at stimulating the real estate market, as it comes in response to the growing demand from Arabic, Chinese and Russian investors.

Greek Tourism Minister, Olga Kefalogianni, in a study realized by the Institute for Tourism Research and Forecasts (ITEP) on Senior Tourism presented on April 23, talked about the new Greek campaign launched to attract senior tourists, “in order for the Greek tourism industry to meet the corresponding demands and the still rising worldwide tourism market.”

She underlined that third age tourism could become a critical factor in lengthening the tourist season for Greece.
