The Cyprus Community of Melbourne and Victoria this year celebrates 80 years since its establishment as a financially-independent foundation looking to promote philanthropic and nationally-oriented activities to improve relations of Cypriots in Australia.
The Cyprus community, the oldest and largest organization for Greek-speaking Cypriots in Victoria, is organizing an event on Oct.13 at Ultima Receptions. The dinner-dance will feature live music and traditional dances as well as a soprano performance. The community tries to stay active in all facets of social life bringing Greek Cypriots closer and also has a folklore group, dancing group, the Elderly Group, and Ladies and Youth club.
