Vithoulkas Loses Bid to Be Mayor of Sydney

Angela Vithoulkas, who had been rising in expectations that she could pull an upset, lost her bid to be elected Mayor of Sydney, Australia’s largest city, to incumbent Clover Moore, who easily trounced a field that included three other challengers in the Sept. 8 elections. Vithoulkas said she still hopes to gain a seat on the City Council and give Greek-Australians a presence in the government.

There were a number of candidates of Greek descent participating in the elections, including Evangelos Tsirekas, who was brought back for another term as Mayor of Canada Bay City, while several others were elected councilors in various municipalities.

Dreadful public speaker, no political acumen, evasive on how policies would be implemented and, after destined to lose after uttering the following during the Potts Point Mayoral debate “I actually went to Kings Cross last week” … how brave of you Angela, how brave …

Good to hear! Angela is a nasty piece of work…she reminds me of the US politician Sarah Palin in terms of her elocution. AND she wanted to rip up all the separated bike lanes in the city!…as a taxi driver, this would be terrible for me….I’d have to share the road once more with bikes and they’d have to put up with the cars! Mama mia!

Oh thank goodness! This person owns Vivo Cafe in the middle of the city, and the coffee is terrible! Cheap and nasty. The food is overpriced and you can just tell she doesnt give a rats about anyone but herself.
