NSW Greek Orthodox Community President Danalis Resigns

Harry Danalis

The President of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, Harry Danalis, announced his resignation on Aug. 29, through the SBS Radio Greek Program, quitting his post after 10 years because of what was reported to be a series of administrative problems.

“I had already informed my colleagues that this would be my last term as president, and I would resign anyway in the middle of my current term. I would, however, prefer that to happen under other circumstances. Nevertheless, I wish best luck to the Council and the Community. I will be at their side and will help anyway I can, just not from a leading position. I will remain at the Boarding Council,” he explained, talking to host Themi Kallos. Danalis did not explain what the problems were.
