After The Australian, further sources are reacting against the “Golden Dawn” Party’s Local Chapter in Australia

Following a previous article in The Australian, new statements are furtherly reacting against thoughts of launching a local branch of the extreme right-wing “Golden Dawn” party.

The Greek newspaper New World heading in Australia has come to add previous statements of The Australian against “Golden Dawn’s” local branch; “these ideas have no place in Melbourne. Say no to Nazis”, the newspaper has written, while the editor in chief Mr. Kostas Nikolopoulos stated; “This local chapter is a small group of people living in the margins who are trying to benumb the local Greek community. We are not going to let them move further with their plans”.

What is more, the Minister of Multicultural affairs in Victoria Mr. Nick Kotsiras underlined that “this local branch is consisted of misinformed and ignorant people. The Australian community is not tolerant to racism and the Greeks living in Victoria know that “Golden Dawn’s” views are abominable.”

Also, Jeremy Jones, head of the Austral-Israeli and Jewish Affairs Committee stated that “these people are targeting on the creation of a core outside the Greek territories, in Melbourne. This is repulsive.”

Furthermore, Nick Kotsiras in a previous edition of the New World newspaper has denounced the policy of racism that “Golden Dawn” promotes as well as the party’s denial of the Jewish holocaust. “Opinions such as those that “Golden Dawn” promotes do not belong to the city of Victoria. Such views are not only are insulting the citizens of Victoria but all the Greeks that fought against the Nazis in the WWII”.

Finally, the MPs in Victoria John Pandazopoulos stated; “the Greeks have long been pioneers in multicultural affairs and this reality should not be undermined by people who wish to promote their racist views. Extreme parties such as “Golden Dawn” that promote Nazism do not belong in the Greek Community of Australia”.

    Time and time again I keep reading how GreekReporter labels Golden Dawn as “Nazi’, “Fascist”, etc.

    Tell me Greek Reporter, why is it NOW that the Greek Government is cracking down on illegal immigrants?

    2. “are furtherly reacting”  would it bother you to look up your word “furtherly” & get back to us on your findings?
    3. “reacting against thoughts” I like your use of this phrase as it shows how out of proportion the coverage of this issue has been.
    4.Is Mr Nikolopoulos imitating hishero Stalin in censoring any political view opposed to his own?5Does he fear that Greek Australians lack the intelligence to decide for themselves if they agree with Golden Dawn’s policies & views?

    8 won’t comment on the clowns Kotsiras & Pantazopoulos for now however it must be stated that they have vilified and defamed Golden Dawn by calling them “nazis” and that behaviour and language is unacceptable and immoral, even by the standards of australian politicians

    Willako, it appears that you are too lazy to look up Golden Dawn’s policies or speak to their supporters and question their reasons for voting Golden Dawn, so I guess that makes YOU an ignorant bigot…It is disgusting and despicable that LEGAL migrants to Australia from all over the world who WERE INVITED to come and work in Australia are being compared to millions of illegal criminals who are migrating to a country in a desparate financial situation…

    The Golden Dawn party has in numerous TV, newspaper and radio interviews rejected the “neo-nazi” label, instead calling themselves “nationalists”.
    In Greece there are 2 million ILLEGAL immigrants, and a massive violent crime wave, being perpetrated against Greek citizens by these illegal immigrants. The Greek police arrested roughly 1500 illegal immigrants today – Why? Because an illegal Pakistani immigrant raped and bashed a 15 year old Greek girl into a coma! Just a couple of months ago, 4 illegal Afghan immigrants gang raped a 15 year old Greek girl in the middle of the street in broad daylight, and forced her father to watch! Greek citizens are murdered almost every week in Greece by illegal immigrants, and the elderly and women are too afraid to walk to the bank or go to the supermarket !
    In fact these Greek elderly call Golden Dawn offices and ask them to send some young men to escort them to the bank!
    There are 600000 AK47′s on the streets of Greece, most of them in the hands of illegal immigrant gangs, just today gypsy criminals kept Greek police pinned down in a suburb of a Greek city,  by firing on them with assault rifles….this is the every day situation in Greece!
    Golden Dawn wants Greek immigration laws to be enforced, Golden Dawn wants to deport all ILLEGAL immigrants out of Greece. They are 100% right and are demanding that the nations laws be enforced….we all know that the so called “mainstream parties” never enforced the laws in any sphere of Greek life, it is they who should be condemned not Golden Dawn, which feeds the poor and helps the needy in Greece.

    Perhaps Greece can send Illegals to Australia then? We all know how much Australia loves taking in anyone and everyone. Greece, on the other hand, is particular as to who should walk on Greek soil and breathe Greek air. Only the few, only the privileged, only the Greeks.
