Australian Pupil Wins International Greek Youth Parliament Competition

Dafni Trepca, a year 11 student at South Oakleigh College, has won the International Greek Youth Parliament Competition and will address the  Parliament later this year, according to a Neos Kosmos report.

Her essay, “The Relevance of Human Rights in Today’s Society”  written entirely in Greek, was judged by a panel of linguists who replied that her essay was well written and had a high quality of Greek language skills.

Ms Trepca is off to address Greece’s Parliament, international delegates and distinguished guests. This award is worth over $5000 and includes a return flight to Greece and an all-expenses paid stay in the country.

South Oakleigh College has won this competition for two years running.
