30th Greek Festival of Sydney Presents Lecture on the Owl in Ancient Greece

The 30th Greek Festival of Sydney proudly presents “Koukouvagia : The Owl in Ancient Greece” on Thursday, March 29 at Tali Gallery.

Associate Professor Vrasidas Karalis will hold the lecture, which ecamines the owl’s significance and its place in ancient Greek history. In Ancient Greece, the owl was linked to the Goddess Athena and has appeared on Greek coins from ancient times to the present.

The event will open at 6.15pm with a wine reception and an exhibition, while the lecture will start at 7pm. Admission is free to everyone. The lecture will be given in English.
