Greek-Australian George Frazis has been named the chief of St. George Bank in Australia.
St.George BankĀ is a subsidiary of Westpac Banking CorporationĀ trading primarily in New South Wales but with growing representation across a number of industry and business segments in Queensland and Western Australia.
In December 2008, Westpac merged with St. George, and the retail and business banking distribution businesses are now known as St. George Bank.
Mr. Frazis, a former senior banker at National Australia Bank, has run Westpac’s NZ unit for the past 3 1/2 years, and last year oversaw a 41 percent spike in cash earnings at the unit.
