The 30th Greek Festival of Sydney presents the event “Inaudible Voices: Greek Australian Women across generations” in celebration of International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 7.
Under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, Dr Elizabeth Kefallinos will hold a presentation of female oral narratives recorded in the last two years as part of a university-funded project. Greek-Australian women of three generations were given, for the first time, an opportunity to speak about their identity, their values, their insights. These intergenerational narratives will be discussed with the aim of developing a new insight into the female Greek-Australian consciousness.
