Greek Traditional Dance Courses for Greek Language Teachers and Students in Melbourne

The Greek Education Office of Australia and New Zealand has announced the introduction of Greek traditional dancing courses for all Greek language teachers in Melbourne and tertiary students of Modern Greek language studies.

The program aims to provide traditional dancing and singing knowledge to teachers that will enable them to teach the Greek language more effectively to all ages, especially to high school students.

The tertiary students wishing to participate will enjoy the benefits of getting in touch with the cultural components of tradition found in dances and folk songs, while they will also follow their courses in a more advanced and interactive manner.

The course is organized by teacher Christos Monocheir and the program is expected to begin on March 1. The courses will be taking place at Oakleigh Grammar School on Thursdays.
