Panagiotis Panagopoulos from Kalamata Greece decided to migrate to Australia 4 months ago due to the poor economic situation in Greece. He is the owner of a loukoumi lab in Kalamata and now he is making loukoumi for Australian customers.
Panagopoulos stated, “It was a difficult decision but my family matters a lot for me. I chose to come to Australia because there are more financial, educational, and professional prospects for my family”.
Being very happy that he still makes loukoumi miles away from Greece, Panagopoulos reminds us that loukoumi as our traditional sweet should always be in Greek homes.
