Greek Fashion Travels To New Zealand

The Greek crisis has not eliminated all business opportunities.  As long as there is enough talent, willingness, quality and passion for what one is doing, then everything can flourish even in the most adverse circumstances.

This is what New Zealand TV persona Jacquie Hudson believes about Greece. And more particularly about Greek fashion.

The Good Morning and Fair Go hostess has always been enthusiastic about quality clothing. While enjoying a trip to Greece, she came across the designs of Greek Ioanna Kourbela.  She adored the Greek designer’s work and decided to become their exclusive importer in New Zealand.

“These are amazing clothes. Unique patterns, absolutely creative and reflective of the real world. They are ideal for New Zealand” said Hudson. “Kourbela’s clothes are most known for the knitted dresses and skirts, which can be worn in many different ways. Her clothes have as few seams as possible, while the fabrics she uses are delicate and unique” adds Hudson.

According to the New Zealand TV hostess, it is very satisfying for her to see a fellow New Zealand woman wearing Kourbela’s fine creations, and she comments that Greek fashion is outstanding and very original but not that widely known to the antipodes.

“I personally wear Kourbela’s clothes all the time. One of my most precious belongings from Kourbela’s fashion line is a pair of Greek-style earrings, which Mrs. Kourbela offered me the last time I came to Greece” said Hudson.
