OPA! Magazine was officially recognised and awarded by the Premier of Victoria, the Honourable Ted Baillieu and the Victorian Multicultural Commission the 2011 MEDIA Award for Excellence.
Within the 8 months from its first publication, OPA! Magazine has spread its publications across the nation and around globe, securing cover stories on pop-singer Kalomira, famous chef George Calombaris and most recently fashion designer Alex Perry.
The Premier of Victoria delivered a praising speech before presenting Steve Agi, publisher and managing director of OPA! Magazine, with the OPA! Magazine’s award for excellence at the Government House on December 13.
Mr. Agi thanked everyone involved in the magazine for their help and contribution and encouraged everyone to keep up with the good work.
With national distribution, continuous growth and interest internationally, an increasing subscriber database and above all a mainstream celebration of multiculturalism, OPA! epitomises Victoria’s cultural diversity and the Hellenic spirit.
