Greek Scientist from Melbourne Wins Gold Medal in Medical Competition

Greek scientist from Melbourne Katerina Ververi won first place in the 1st International Competition organized by the Medical Olympicus Association (MOA) in Thessaloniki (23-25 of September).

The first position was secured due to a research according to which healing power and curative properties of natural products as cinnamon and olive oil can be used for the remedy of diabetes and cancer.

Katerina Ververi was selected to be the representative of the research laboratory to the meeting, where she presented 5 papers regarding the above mentioned research, conducted at Baker IDI, Heart and Diabetes Institute.

During the meeting only original papers of social importance from all medical specialties were allowed to be presented.

The 23-years-old scientist told Neos Kosmos: I was so surprised due to the research that I wanted to inform everybody in the meeting about it”. “We have worked very hard during the research and it was proved that our effort was fruitful” Ververi concluded.
